In Time is the third single off of FKA twigs' third EP, MXLL155X. The song first premiered on Annie Mac's radio show on BBC Radio 1 as well as on Sirius XMU an hour before the extended play's release and was also featured in the EP's short movie and was released as a single August 13, 2015.

FKA twigs said in an interview "in time inhabits several headspaces, all of them liminal. It slips into the scared, desperate place before a breakup, when both partners are high-strung and bereft; then moves on to that state of competing emotions, where one can only hope that her standing will somehow be clearer tomorrow."
